Troy Bohlke
Founder
Troy Bohlke is a creative strategist, entrepreneur, and media producer with a career built around turning big ideas into bold campaigns. As founder of Lightning Lyrics, he blends music, branding, and efficiently delivers studio quality and customized songs in 36 hours.
Troy began his entrepreneurial journey at Arizona State University, where he co-founded The New Homeowners Guide, a relocation magazine designed to support new residents. In 2001, he co-launched Emission Technology, an automotive equipment manufacturer that earned national exposure under his leadership as President, VP of Marketing, and Director of Investor Relations.
After exiting that venture, he developed a hybrid marketing model — The Triad System — fusing PR, SEO, and social media into fast-moving campaigns that landed his clients in national outlets. This approach led to the launch of 10 Day Media and 10 Day Publicity, as well as New Business Funders, where he helped startups and real estate clients gain funding and market traction through executive summaries, publicity, and branding.
In 2018, Troy was a contributing writer for Forbes on topics like PR strategy and digital positioning. His PR firm was also recognized as one of Phoenix’s Top PR Agencies by Expertise.com for 3 years running. Until he sold that company in 2018.
Now through Lightning Lyrics and his creative agency Immersive Media, Troy helps artists, founders, and visionaries shape their stories with strategy, style, and speed.
Gavin Washburn
Co-Founder
Gavin is a serial entrepreneur who's early career began in the mid 90s as a carpenter and home builder. From 1995 to 2003, he built over 500 homes, each one a testament to his ability to work hard, see things in his mind before they are built, meet deadlines, manage time, dozens of trades and consistently honor his commitments to vendors and home buyers.
In 2003, Gavin focused his energy on web technology and by 2015 had marketed, designed, built and delivered over 300 websites and mobile apps. In 2015 he and a friend decided to build their own mobile app. In February of 2016 they launched Fare, a rideshare app that generated an impressive $17M in revenue in its first year, a bold leap that showcased Gavin's ability to scale and manifest his ideas even in a hyper-competitive landscape.
Gavin has written and played music his entire adult life and worked as both a performing and recording artist for two decades. As a performing artist he won Drummer of the Year at the 2010 LA Music Awards, an exclamation mark for his talent and creativity in music. Lightning Lyrics is literally the perfect storm for Gavin. Now he is blending his expertise in web development, marketing and music to build something new, exciting and impactful, driven by the same relentless curiosity and passion that defines his life’s work.
